World Meteorological Day
















Yesterday was world meteorological day. ( Yes there is a day for everything). As the weather has a vital importance in the life of our community, I thought this would be a good time highlight some of the resources the library has on weather and climate change.
Our Earth: global warming the evidence - 551.5/OURE - this book has beautiful photos of severe weather glitches through the world

The Australian weather book 551/COLL from the Bureau of meteorology on how the weather effects in australia, explains our climate and weather predicitons.

The geology of Australia - 559.4/John looks at how our country has weathered of the last 4400 million year

Drought in Australia 551.5573/DROU - Issues in society gives an overview of the impact of drought in Australia

International Women's Day


International Women's day ( March 8) is a global day, celebrating the economic, political and social, achievements of women, past present and future.

Deniliquin TAFE library will be showing a short film to help celebrate the day on Wednesday March 10 at 12 noon. ( BYO lunch). There will also be a display of resources in the library
